MarketSmiths Triumphantly Returns from SXSW!

We just got back from South by Southwest, and we're excited to share some of our experiences—as well as looking forward to our return.

That was awesome!

The MarketSmiths team is back from our whirlwind adventure in Austin for our first (and definitely, definitely not our last) South by Southwest.

Aside from indulging in the tacos, comedy shows, and free booze, we hit up a wealth of incredible seminars: from ExactTarget’s “Science of Weird: Why Weirdos Outperform Normals,” to Big Spaceship’s “How to Name Things,” to Upworthy’s discussion on viral content with the New York Times’s David Carr. So much to learn, so little time!

Our own workshop, “Content That Captivates,” was a raging success!  We suspected that copywriting was in huge demand, but wow! Judging from the participants lined up at our workshop at SxSW Interactive 2014, even we underestimated how much people are thirsting for brilliant content. An easy hundred strong showed up for the 1-2-1 hands-on copy sessions on offer.

By the way, if you were there and got shut out, drop us a line at info@MarketSmiths.com or use our handy contact form in the upper right corner. Put “Missed You at SXSW” in the subject line, and let us know what copy struggle you came to us with.

We’re looking forward to doing it bigger and better next year!
