We are heavy contributors to LinkedIn’s talent blog, a go-to source for technology recruiters. We pitch, we report, we write, we incorporate client feedback–all in the service of informing (and sometimes titillating) a specific professional audience, and making their lives easier and more richly potent.
It was tough but rewarding to learn how to think like technology recruiters–and to apply our client’s specific tonal preferences. Once we’d surmounted the learning curve, we started to land pitches and stories–and effectively help augment a notoriously tough (but fair!) editorial team.
Instead of one designated writer, our client got a team of five, sharing ideas, reporting, research, information, and collaboration. Our bylined (and non-bylined) articles have often gone viral. The illustrated post (about Game of Thrones) utilized our idea and our writing: it gathered 30,000+ page views, 11,000+ Facebook likes, and 5,000 shares. We’re inordinately proud of our work for this client.
