So when it came time to write a poem for the brand’s annual Christmas card, the challenge was steep. MADLORD went in search of a copywriting partner to help pen the greeting—and found it in MarketSmiths.

How does an otherworldly brand talk about the holidays of the human realm? As our first project together, it made sense to dig deep into the DNA of the MADLORD brand to find answers.
With a tight print deadline looming, there was no time to lose. We met with the MADLORD team and brainstormed ideas, reviewed brand materials, and heard the vision, straight from the visionary.
After that, it was off to the workshop to tinker and toil, collaborating to come up with the right blend of majestic imagery, heartwarming sincerity, and inspiring gallantry that animates the MADLORD brand and its music.
Our first pass was close. We were hot on the trail, but needed some tonal tweaking. Like sculptors, we continued to shape and chisel every rhyme and rhythm until it sounded indeed like a voice from beyond.
Over two rounds of rapid-fire revisions, we worked hand-in-hand with the team at MADLORD to refine the language until it was pitch-perfect—hitting all the right holiday notes while reminding readers of what makes the brand so endearingly epic.
